Easy Quiche Reicpe

This Easy Quiche Recipe is made with bacon, veggies, or cheese—super versatile, high-protein, and delicious for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1 regular size frozen pie crust not deep dish (Gluten Free or Regular both work well)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C whole or 2% milk or heavy cream
  • 2 C shredded cheese of your choice - my favorite is a medium cheddar cheese
  • 1 C cup sausage browned, ham - cooked & chopped, bacon - cooked & chopped, vegetables (chopped spinach, red, yellow, or orange peppers)
  • C flour Gluten Free or Regular both work well
  • ¼ t pepper
  • ½ t salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place the pie crust on a baking sheet. To prevent the bottom from puffing up, gently prick the bottom and sides with a fork. Bake unfilled for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl combine the eggs, milk or cream, shredded cheese, flour, pepper, & salt. Whisk these ingredients together.
  • Stir in 1 C fillings of your choice (meat and/or veggies) to the egg mixture.
  • Pour the filling into the pie crust then spread out the fillings evenly with a spoon.
  • Bake 40-50 minutes or until crust is slightly browned and the quiche is firm to the touch.

Notes

Tips for Success

*To avoid over-browning your crust, loosely cover it with foil if it gets too dark before the quiche is fully baked.
*Choose vegetables that aren’t high in water content—like tomatoes or zucchini—as they can make the quiche soggy.
*Don’t over bake. The quiche should be slightly firm to the touch in the center but still creamy.
