The viral date and peanut butter dessert is a simple, wholesome, and utterly delicious treat that has become my go-to post-holiday snack consisting of dates, peanut butter, salty peanuts, melted chocolate and flake salt.

Ingredients

½cupunsweetened peanut butteror your favorite nut butter
½cupdry roastedsalted peanuts (or any dry roasted, salted nut)
½cupdark or semi-sweet chocolate chipsI love Enjoy Life brand!

Instructions
1. Remove the pits from 20 dates. Once pitted, open them up and lay them flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Arrange them in a 5x4 grid, pressing them together to eliminate any gaps.
2. Pour the peanut butter over the dates and spread out evenly with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
3. Roughly chop the nuts and spread evenly over the peanut butter.
4. Melt ½ cup of dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can use a microwave or a stovetop for this step. Once melted, pour the chocolate over the peanut layer and spread it evenly with a spatula.
5. Sprinkle flake salt generously over the top of the chocolate.
6. Pop the tray into the freezer for 20-30 minutes, or until the dessert is firm. Once set, cut it into small pieces.
7. Keep these in the refrigerator for a quick grab-and-go snack whenever you’re craving something sweet.
